Bloke and F1at roamed behind B, watching across the street and also providing a great respawning position for the defenders of B. DTH tried and tried, often neglecting C, which was being dutifully watched by Bovine. I must give props to Bovine, as he defended C admirably and even though he must have been itching to help out at B, he kept to his assignment. It really helped knowing you were there watching.

Eventually, DTH perserverence paid off as they finally captured the B flag. However, their victory was short lived, as 3-4 Cirques were able to fast cap B once again before they could return to defend B. That was the last time B changed hands. DTH did grab C flag for a while, but their forces were spread thinly and the Cirques pushed on and captured A. The Cirques ended up with on paper a comfortable win, but every ounce of skill was needed to ensure the tables werent turned on them.

Kudos this game go to Mania, Kit and Krazi for their defense of B. Bloke, Bovine and F1at helped ensure they could focus on defending B, and they were not having to worry about flank attacks. Krazi defended the top floor of the building with a passion. Kit was deadly behind the barrels, killing and grenading all comers.

Mania was operating with deadly force in the same area, basically turning the alleyway into a hail of bullets and grenades. For DTH, their hard work was not reflected on the scoreboard, as they looked to punch through the Cirque lines. All the DTH team repeatedly attacked with a fury and caused the Cirques to bend but luckily not break. Ghost gets a special mention here for being a last minute substitution, replacing poor Triptoy, who was having connection problems. Thankfully this was corrected and Trip joined us for the last two games.

Match score: DTH: 1 Cirques: 2

Game 4: Hardcore Team Deathmatch on Overgrown (usual Hardcore rules)
Score: Cirques win 520-370
Brief Game Summation: Air Supremacy Rules!

Cirques had choice of spawn for this one and took Spetsnaz, so they could have the gas station spawn. DTH got SAS. The game started with Cirques and DTH pretty evenly killing each other with neither side taking a big lead. Midway through the game, the Cirques were finally able to establish their desired defensive positions in the Library/Gas Station/Crack House and that was the turn of the tide.

Having control of these areas helped the Cirques pull away to a handy lead, and the win was pretty much secured once Mania and Inde managed to kill enough attackers from their positions to get continuous, back to back air strikes and helicopter support for the last 3 minutes of the game. Close Air Support in Hardcore mode is truly a force-multiplier. As time wound down, it allowed the Cirques to focus on defending their hard earned positions, and DTH were left with trying to chase a score and deal with pesky helicopters.
