We are an adult, mature gaming clan that likes to have serious fun playing primarily in Halo 3 and Call of Duty environments. We also dabble in other games, such as Gears 2, Halo Wars, racing games, sports games, other social games etc. We like to play against other clans and play together as a group in MatchMaking. We love to joke around and have fun first and foremost, and do not lose sight of the fact that this is just a game. Sportsmanship may be a lost art for much of the online wilderness, but we're doing our best to preserve it and pass the good word around.

Thanks for your interest in the Cirques. We wanted you to be aware of what you were getting yourself into before you decided to make your final decision to apply. We are an adult gaming clan comprised of adults aged 25 and older, who love to play video games. We love to have fun, win, lose or draw. We organize and participate in clanmatches against other clans and communities that share our similar passion for sportsmanship and fair play. We are a proud member of the Good Game Network (links to the alliance of clans in the Good Game Network can be found under the Allies link). The Good Game Network is comprised of clans and organizations who share our ideals for recreational competition.


Criteria For Membership
A mutual respect and love for gaming is one of our key criterias. If you don't respect the group that you are part of, then it defeats the purpose of being part of that group. We are seeking mature individuals with great sense of humors and a passion for playing together. Our membership is comprised of adult gamers, so to preserve this dynamic, we have a suggested minimum age of 25 for any new applicants.

We require that all of our members be active in our forums as well as on XBL. If your activity decreases because of personal reasons, just give us a heads up, or for longer absences, you can opt to be on the inactive list till you return (real life always takes precedence over gaming). When you are ready to return to active status, you just let us know. If you're a lone wolf, you might not be a good fit. However, if you're a mature individual who wants to play as part of a team, you're an ideal Cirque candidate. The idea behind joining a clan is wanting to be involved in a community of gamers who share the same interest and wanting to participate actively in their community. This is vastly different than wanting to just be on a Friends List.

Specifically We're Looking For:
*Gamers with good attitudes, regardless of winning or losing.
*Gamers who are seeking to improve on their skills or share their knowledge, and are open to constructive criticism.
*A good attitude when playing games - especially essential as we do organize and particiapte in Clan Matches. It's important to maintain a good attitude as you're representing the clan.

Remember that we are a recreational gaming clan, meaning that we do not have a competitive division/squad, nor have any plans for creating one. If you are interested in ranking up, hardcore competitive play, chronic teabagging, yelling unprovoked obscenities, cheating or modding, we are not the clan for you.

How Long Does It Take To Recruit Members?
We have a mandatory waiting period which will give you time to get to know us and for us to get to know you. During this time, you'll play with staff members and with many other clanmates.We have capped our membership at 50 since most of our members are fully active and participate in all clan activities. We encourage you to post on the forums as one way for us to get to know you, and also hope that you'll hook up with as many Cirques as possible so it will help us decide if you're a good fit for us, and vice versa.

How Is Membership Determined?
Membership is determined by a majority vote from the staff, and input from current members is always taken into consideration. You will be notified of acceptance into the clan and join with full member status and will be given instructions and access to our private forums. That's it. You will not be asked to change your emblem, or your gamertag. Once invited formally, you're a fully fledged Cirque with equal status to all our members.

Clan Leadership
The leadership of the clan is made up of four overlords, KitKatGrrl, RevDotNed, F1at1ined and A Mad Bloke and currently four staff members] - Alphawolf45, IXI Quasar IXI, Kelstek and Erickbob. If you have any questions or issues, feel free to reach out to any one of them and we'll respond as soon as we can.

We have an open door policy and please do not hestitate to talk to one of us if you have something you want to discuss. Though we have overlords and staff, we're clan members too, and we all strive to make the clan experience the best it can be for all members. We always put the best interests of the clan first, and value each and every clan member and their participation to making the Cirques what we are today.

Leaving The Clan
There may be a time when you decide that clan life just isn't for you. We'd request in that instance that you let us know of your intention to leave and we would wish you all the best with your future endeavors. There will be no hard feelings, and we hope we still get an opportunity to game with you in the future.

Inactive Members
Since we have limited our clan to 50 members, we ask that all of our members remain active within the clan. There may come a time when due to “real life” situations, we may need to take a leave of absence. That’s perfectly reasonable and at the end of the day, real life does come first. However, if you have not made any attempt at contacting anyone within the clan, nor with remaining active on the forums or on xbox live for a period of 3 months, we will assume that you’ve moved on to bigger and better things and your name will be removed from the active roster. You will have the option to reapply if you choose to.
