Last weekend, our good friends at Fallen Unity and the Cirques got together for a fun, five match Halo tussle. Both sides featured some new faces either new to the clan, or new to the unique baptism of fire that is a clanmatch. Lots of bullets were exchanged, and am sure there were plenty of tense moments. How did this go down? Read on!
The Cirques were recently approached by Jaden of Fallen Unity about having another clanmatch, but instead of the usual clanmatch veterans, both sides were interested in fielding some newer faces. The end result made for a very entertaining five game skirmish, and judging by the scores in each, all five games were hotly contested and nailbiting. Stackimo of CdG kindly provided me with some details for this writeup, so thank you to Stack. It sounds like it was epic. For Fallen Unity, they went into battle with: ... Spirits of Fire, a fledgling Halo clan starting to find its way online by way of challenges and cultivating new friendships and developing renown, recently threw down the preverbial gauntlet to the Cirques, challenging them to a five game skirmish. Led by Captain Apollo Running (no, not he of Battlestar Galactica fame), the Spirits of Fire roared into battle, and took on the Cirques for some spirited and frenetic fighting.
The matches were drawn up and rosters announced, with the two teams arranging to meet on the field of battle this past Saturday night for some Halo goodness. Mission accomplished! The Spirits of Fire, led by Apollo, were the challengers, with the Cirques looking to add to their most recent clanmatch win. It was a big match for both sides, but the overriding theme for the night was good sportsmanship, good fun, and great games. Oh..and to make the occasion ev ... This past weekend, the Cirques re-opened their doors for challenges, and turned to their good friends 8-Bit Brigade to get their challenge 'feet' wet once again. It was a tough fight, with death around every corner over a five match battle. What went down? Read on!
This past weekend, the Cirques re-opened their doors for challenges, and turned to their good friends 8-Bit Brigade to initiate their two new challenge captains and our new challenge protocols. CzarCastic and his battle hardened 8-Bit crew were our first challenges after we initiated our new protocol. We knew we wanted a tough challenge and good camaraderie to boot, and 8-Bit fit the bill on both counts.
The matches were drawn up and rosters announced. For 8-Bit, they went into battle with:
For the Cirques, they fielded from a pool of 8 players. Their lineup was: The Cirques faced 8-Bit Brigade in a two team 6-game tourney on Friday October 3rd. Thanks to The Dihn and CzarCastic for the tremendous work and time that they put into getting this little shindig together. 8-Bit Brigade is a fellow member of the Good
Team Awesome on High Ground - Shotgun CTF
Shotgun CTF on High Ground We were on defense and 8-bit proved a formidable foe, swarming us while we tried to keep them at bay. During the last minute of the game, they got the flag out of the front gate where a mongoose was waiting for them and they rode off into the sunset...with our flag.... On offense, Sleeveen and myself made a mad dash for the gate while the rest of the Cirques scattered. We managed to get the gate open and get the flag outside where the ... Intro by F1at1ined:
The Cirques recently took on the fine folks at Tied the Leader (TTL) Gunslingers division, for a best of 5 games match. The Gunslingers prevailed in the first four games, and fo
Headquarters on Showdown: Score 180-150 TTL
We led this game for the first 14 minutes, but a number of unfortunate spawns, as well as their superior killing ability, sealed our fate and TTL overcame us in the final minute when the HQ spawned on the other side of the map from us. Search & Destroy on Crash: Score 4-0 TTL I was observing and our valiant fighters just kept getting killed too quickly by a very much more experienced TTL team. We couldn't penetrate their defenses and got eliminated 3 straight without planting the bomb. On their one offensive run, they planted it, but eliminated the last team member before it detonated. This was the most lopsided of all the games and shows that TT ...
